Dec 26, · I ended up hunting down v. [08/16/] of the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC driver and installed that. All is fine now (no clean install of Windows or anything else needed). The download file for the driver is SPexe. It used to be available via FTP from the HP site, but no longer appears to be. From the official HP drivers download page for Windows (bit), I noticed the Driver-Audio as "IDT High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver version: Rev." I am missing out on this driver for my audio in Windows 10 but the version stated was for Windows (bit). 1) Download and install Driver Easy. 2) Run Driver Easy and click Scan Now button. Driver Easy will then scan your computer and detect any problem drivers. 3) Click the Update button next to the IDT high definition audio driver to automatically download and install the correct version of this driver (you can do this with the FREE version).
